Job Summary | Under general supervision from the Associate Director, this role is responsible for the College’s digital presence and campaigns across the institution, and will work closely with school, department and/or Campus leadership to support their objectives and goals. This position generates and coordinates marketing resources and supports to promote College programs via digital and social media. This position liaises with all levels of staff and external vendors to ensure that marketing and communications of programs and College initiatives are provided with current information/data, and in alignment with CNC’s strategic enrolment management plan. |
Specific Duties | • Lead administrator of CNC’s institutional social media accounts including the generation of content/graphics/video, reviewing/approving/scheduling of posts, engaging with followers and responding to messages/comments online. • Oversees all CNC social media accounts in accordance with the College’s social media strategy & policy. • Responsible for centralized management and coordination of social media and digital content. • Authors, maintains, and ensures adherence to the Social Media Strategy, Social Media Policy and brand standards. • Develops and plans the College’s social media and digital presence in collaboration with other web designers, schools, departments and regions, based on priorities, policy directions, and goals. • Captures/produces media (video, photo, audio) for social media content, marketing & promotions. • In collaboration with Marketing & Communications colleagues to deliver social media campaigns and share stories across all digital platforms, coordinates the creative elements of various projects while ensuring consistency with established visual identity, branding and design standards. • Develops and maintains monthly content and editorial calendars. • Attends various types of events to document and promote student experiences/achievements as well as CNC successes through social media, in accordance to the Content Strategy. • Generate monthly reports on the College presence on social media platforms. • Responsible for professional external communication across all institutional social media accounts and other digital landscapes which ensures College reputation remains intact. This includes supporting communication with respect to crisis management, and maintaining confidentiality and understanding when to escalate issues to supervisor/executive member, as needed. • Responsible for all social media advertising including applying market research, budgeting and scheduling ads. • Ensures the accessibility of social media content. • Lead in training College employees on CNC social media accounts, best practices, digital advertising strategy & policies. • Works with schools, departments and regions to ensure social media accounts are meeting College needs, and that any posted content is current and accurate. • Ensures that College branding is effective and consistent throughout the College’s online presence across all campuses. • Governs and administers user accounts and passwords for online services including but not limited to social media pages, social media management platforms, and online advertising platforms. • In the absence of the (UI and UX) Designer: Web and Digital Lead, supervise the production, accuracy, quality control methods, and publishing of web content. Monitor internal/external links, organize, and maintain pages. • Assists College community with website changes by planning, improving and updating webpages as needed. • Travel to regional campuses as needed. • You will be part of a team actively engaged in contributing to and accomplishing the vision, mission, and goals of the College and in supporting the aspirations and needs of our learners and communities. • You will promote a positive work atmosphere and communicating in a professional manner that demonstrates mutual respect with students and colleagues. • Other related duties as assigned by Associate Director, or designate. |
Skills & Qualifications | • Recognized two (2 ) year diploma in Marketing, Communications, Media, or other related field. • 2 years or more of relevant work experience. • Ability to work independently • Strong organizational, interpersonal and communication (both written and verbal) skills. • Strong computer skills, competency in word processing and database management. • Previous social media management experience • Previous web development and maintenance experience • Exceptional web writing skills. • Proven research and analytical skills. • Demonstrated ability to maintain accurate detail. • Demonstrated ability to work and communicate effectively within a team environment. • Excellent problem solving and judgment skills. • Experience using social media management applications (Hootsuite, Sprout Social, Later) • Experience in the following desktop publishing/imaging applications an asset: Multimedia (streaming audio and video); Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Sharepoint Designer, Visual Studio, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, Website Accessibility Initiative (WAI-ARIA), mobile web design, PHP, .NET, and CMS Framework. |
